BRING YOUR FEEDBACK AND OFFERS. lET'S SEE WHAT WE CAN WORK OUT NEXT WEEK. INSPECTION: THURSDAY, 9/8, AT 3 PM.
For 40 years, this small cabin on Lake Murray served as a gathering place for one family and their siblings, nieces, nephews, and close friends. While the property has no legal bedrooms, they used the two rooms without closets and lived out of their suitcases because they were spending their time outside anyway.
Built in 1967, this cabin needs work, but it’s in surprisingly good shape for its age and structure. The window unit and ceiling fans do a nice job of cooling the 546 square feet. The bathroom is small but adequate and in good condition. There is a small kitchen; the refrigerator conveys. In fact, much of the furniture will convey.
There’s a pier and dock in two separate pieces, but with only 30 feet of shoreline, there should not have been a dock at all. But upon leaving the cabin, which is situated in a beautiful cove, one only needs to take a short walk to the water. There’s room to add a little tiki bar or hut, similar to what the neighbor next door did. The total acreage is .35 acres. A small gravel road divides the lot, but there is little traffic as this cabin is one of the homes at the end of the cove.
Here are some additional facts:
- Located in Saluda County.
- Septic was never permitted but can receive a certificate of pre-existence according to Saluda County.
- In the past, an RV parked beside the cabin for a period of years. Seller is not sure if a second septic could exist.
- The roof was replaced 12 years ago.
